Faux Fur Ideas
I just bought 6 yards of faux fur and came up with a few ideas of what I could do with it, but I would love to hear some other ideas.
Here are my ideas.
A vest
Cuffs for tops of boots, on a jacket or a shirt.
Mittens, a hat and a scarf.
A fake fur rug.
Pillows.
A throw.
A pouch or purse lined in red or pink (just to be suggestive).
A lamp shade (best to use a light color).
A bean bag chair.
Cover some old hard luggage.
This can be used as is or turned into a table with legs or wheels.
Refurbish an old wooden chair with a faux fur cushion.
Make a paper mache' wolf hat (The idea came from a children's book I just read: "The Empress of Elsewhere").
So now I'd like to hear some other ideas.

My husband's sister got married this weekend, and their mom made us fake fur wraps, with a button and elastic closure. Kind of fun, and warm!

I have some fake fur and I'm going to make a "bear hood" out of it.
[Basically, I was watching an ex play a Zelda video game---I said I wanted a bunny hood! he said he'd make me one, he didn't deliver. My friend Jen talks about "Bear City" on SNL all the time and we think it's hilarious. I want a Bear Hood.]

You could make a stuffed teddy bear, or other stuffed animal of sorts.

If you need any tips on sewing with the faux fur, I can give you a hint or 2. I just used some funky furry stuff for my younger son's costume, and I was so glad that I was able to use some tips I had recently read about.
I have some faux fur that I'm planning on turning into removeable collar and cuffs for a jacket I have. Gotta funk it up a bit!!

I love those cube-shaped ottomans covered in false fur. You can make button holes in the false fur cover and button them on the top, so you can have them furry for Winter, but upholstered in something lighter for Summer.
