What to do with this fabric??
Bessiemae's blog on her never used boy print fleece got me to thinking about this fabric which has been sitting in my cupboard forever.
The fabric is a light grey stretch knit. It has kind of a wierd texture-almost like a terry knit, but flat, not fuzzy.
I had originally bought it to make seat covers for our old car, but of course never got around to making them and we no longer have the car.
Sooooo....what to do with this massive amount of fabric??
I could dye it a different color, if it would take the dye, but I still don't know what I'd make. Or maybe I should just donate it.
Anyone here need some stretchy fabric?? I'd be glad to send it on to you, if you have a need for it. There must be about 4+ yards of it, but I'd have to measure to make sure.

Could you make a funky stretch A-like skirt? The stretch fabric often works well for skirts like this, which will sit on your waist but not need zippers or elastic inserted ...

Offer it on Freecycle if no-one here wants it and you can't think of anything to do with it?

LMAO!! A mouse costume!
I am thinking that I will make a couple of lap blankets out of it, to use on our front porch/smoking room. It's gettin' chilly in there!]
Thanks for all your suggestions!

That sounds pretty, especially if the borders are some kind of interesting, contrasting color. Can you do some kind of embroidery or whip stitch along the edges, even, or is it too stretchy?
I crocheted a baby blanket of soft denim blue for a new baby boy, then did a skinny row of screaming orange around the entire border, and then two inches of deep purple to match the parents' couch. A pin stripe between border and blankie really makes it pop!

That sounds like a great idea! I am definitely thinking I could edge the blankets somehow, especially since the fabric is a boring grey. Hmmmmm...I'll have to think on this one!
