    making a hanging lamp?

so I moved into my new place and I am determined to make it look nice. The dining room I have decided will be Asian themed however I want a hanging lamp in that area but of course I can't just buy one. So does anyone have any ideas?

I was possibly thinking rice lamp in that area with a few red of these around it,00.html

I'm afraid that if I let the glue dry and because of the heat they might go up in flames. Not sure though.
What do you think? Any better ideas?

i actually got some hanging wicker lamps like this at target in the summer clearance section for like a buck a piece.

i like this idea and i'm sure this will be fine as long as the lamp you're using is safe - no scary exposed wiring or anything - just please promise to leave out that hat!!! if you have any worries, i'd suggest doing a little research online to see if anyone tried this and wound up with disastrous results.
