New member looking for strong adhesive.

    Greetings all,

I''ve just joined this forum so I''m still learning my way around.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me of a really good glue that will stick ANYTHING to ceramic tile.

I''ve just started a new craft project using all sorts of stuff from my yard and around the house.

I need to find a good glue that will adhere anything I can find to ceramic tile. I''m using things like pine cones, smooth rocks, rope, wood, bark, seas shells, glass, metal and anything else that catches my eye that isn''t nailed down.

I''m told that 2 part epoxy will adhere anything to anything but it dries very fast and that could be a problem when it comes to getting all the pieces glued down before the glue goes off in the tubes.

I''d appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.

    Thank you.

Silicone glue is great for that sort of thing, provided you mostly want it for decoration and not heavy use. You can get a generic "household glue" in the paint section at Walmart, or there''s a glue we used to use in our frame shop for shadowboxing nearly everything. I can''t remember the full name, but it''s "something 2000". I''ve never seen it damage or discolor nonporous surfaces. Comes in a gray metal tube and you can definitely get it at Hobby Lobby, and probably other similar craft stores.

Use tile adhesive, they are perfect for ceramic tiles unlike the portland cement. No need to add fine sand, just add water to make a thick pasty consistency, then spread it evenly on the floor if using the large size ceramic tiles or at the back of each tile for smaller sizes.
