Valentines Crafts, what is everyone doing....??
I was going crazy last year trying to come up with ideas for Valentines day. Since I took down the Christmas decorations the place looks without color until valentines day and I put colorful things on my walls and my kitchen counter (last year). I have a ceramic tea pot and cup set that is so pretty and has colorful pastel flowered print. I made paper roses out of coffee filters and put them in the top of the ceramic cup. Then I took a template of a heart and traced onto printer paper and glued on cardboard template and sponge painted with pinks and red paints and strung them (3) with a red curling ribbon on the wall. I hope the pictures will show up here. I recently acquired 2 adorable boy kittens so I don't think I can do much crafts with them getting into everything.

Great decorations! I'd like to do some decorating, but I'm worried my puppy and cat would destroy anything I put up.
For Valentine's day I'm planning to make a photo book for my special someone.

That's a great idea and I'm sure they will absolutely love the photo book...
. I did a few more Valentines crafts that I might post here. I wait for the cats to take their naps during the day, and the things I need I put them away right away so that they cant get at them....

I found this tutorial on how to make realistic-looking chocolates out of polymer clay. It's worth a try.

It’s a great decoration Glitter_gal. Loved the way you used the simple things. Even I would hate to see my house look dull and boring, especially for Valentine’s Day. So planning to decorate my house with some wall hangings,Embossed Wall Hearts, heart shaped red balloons, and finishing it of with scented candles for a romantic atmosphere.
You think my loved one will like it?

Sorry for the late reply. I'm sure he will love all of those lovely things that you are planned. I wish I had someone to share with. But that's ok I have two adorable kittens which I spend my time with. The heart shaped balloons and scented candles are a perfect thing for Valentine's. I did a few more crafts that I might post. Thank you for sharing your craft ideas

Valentine's Frame with felt pink and red roses
I made this about a week one week a half ago and I continued doing Valentine crafts till I had some more crafts to post. This colorful frame is a styrofoam base and then yarn with variegated shades of pink was wrapped around it. Felt roses were made from pink and red and then glitter was applied to both the pink roses and hot glued to the frame. A piece of cardstock was attached to the back.
I thought it could be a great idea for a frame or even a wall-hanging to dress up a plain wall. You can even give it to someone special at Valentine's Day

Another Valentine's craft I did;
Bouquet of Chenille Roses
These roses were mades from chenille stems. The red stems were coiled to make the roses and the green ones were looped and made the leaves and the stems. Pretty cool isn't it. I gathered the stems with red curly ribbon and tied a bow. When you present this cute arrangement to someone who couldn't resist. I put the instructions in case anyone want to make these for Valentines Day.
1.Take red chenille stem and start coiling around very tight (it works if you have something thin to wrap it around).
2. Keep the coil very straight and when you get at the end put a dab of Tacky glue to keep it from coming apart.
3. With the green stem, take one of ends and go to the back of the coiled rose and go through one of coiled circles (preferably one that's near the center and slightly curl the end so that it makes a loop.
4. With the rest of the stem, twist it around to make one leaf on one side, then twist it to make the other leaf. The rest of the stem will continue to be straight. It will makes sense when you have the stem in your hand.
5. When you have 4 or 5 stems, gather them together and put a pretty ribbon around the stems and tie them together.

Its very pretty, glitter_gal. I like the felted roses and the touch of sparkle is great. Great idea for photo frame. I can put our couple picture in it.
How long did you take to finish it??
