    Pyrography or Wood burning??

    Hi there,

I am new to this site and live in Scotland in the U.K.

I have just bought my first pyrography/woodburning unit off eBay u.k It's a German unit, by Wetekom and has variable temp and changable hot loop tips. I could not afford a Peter Childs or Divan unit, and was over the moon when I saw this in my price range.

I am relatively new to Pyrography and wondered if there are any other wood burners on here, that can give me some tips? i have done a few bits on scrap plywood with mixed results and was hoping to try a piece of fake scrimshaw in wood and would also like to try branding some leather?

    Any tips or suggestions?

    ta ta for now!
