Post Subject: Help! Antique Singer Sewing Machine Problems!!
Hello,
I hope you can help, I have a beautiful antique sewing machine that seems to be giving up on me...
My boyfriend had it serviced for my birthday last february and seemded to be fine for a while, but now whenever I sew the thread pulls really tight and snaps, or doesn't sew at all. I've tryed playing with the tension but it seems too tight or too loose. Where am I going wrong?

P.S. I'm a complete novice, had to teach myself to thread it out of a book, but a friends checked it and she says its right...

Post Subject: Presenting my weblog
Regular readers of the blogs on GC, may remember my entry about the antique sewing machine I found on the street. I then thought writing a weblog about my road side picks would be a great idea, because I've found so many amazing things over the years. After my initial enthousiastic post (in sep 06) it took a long time before I really got it going and made more or less regular posts. I now finally feel there's enough to present it to my fellow GC-ers.
However I still have some doubts. I thougt about posting this in the GetCrafty Community Book, but I doubt it (young) homemakers want to hear my advice to take to the streets. And I wonder if anybody is interested in my 'take-what-other-people-don't-want-anymore' lifestyle anyhow. Also, I'm not a native English speaker and I'm not sure if my style is fluent enough to make people want to read on.
The weblog so far is only a beginning and I still have countless amazing items to show and describe as well as tips and philosophying about my anti-consuming life style. Also there's more posts about recuperated things coming up. And many more ideas, about gardening for example, or taking the reader on a photo-tour with me while scavenging.
Please let me know what you think. Any comment will be helpful. The address is in my signature.
PS: I put Google Adsense on not to get rich, but to raise the fee for my next craft fair. It's expensive, because they rent real market stalls for the vendors and the money for that has to come from somewhere, right? I'd appreciate it if you click. Thanks!
