I was at an art festival this weekend and saw some handbags that were out of my budget but so very cool that I wanted to pass them along. Here is the website:

My husband and I went on a road trip round the US and a little bit of Canada in Aug/Sep. We covered around 7500 miles in 3 weeks! We mostly went places for the scenery but found some cool arty places as well.
Our favourite place was the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. We drove the Million Dollar Highway through Ouray, Silverton and Durango. The scenery was stunning and Silverton has loads of art galleries and gift shops considering how tiny it is. I hear Durango is worth a visit too, but we didn't have time to stop there.
I have family in Boise, ID so we stopped there, not expecting much. However, we were there for a huge art festival which was really cool. There was also a farmers' market and an art and craft market going on in the city centre. I think that's a regular thing.
I went to college in Brunswick, ME and there are many art and craft people around there. On weekends, there is a big flea market in Fort Andross. The small city of Portland has a number of nice coffee shops, art galleries and gift shops. Also, the road from Brunswick out to Bailey Island (where you will find some fabulous lobster) is a great place to see local artists, jewelry makers etc.
