My iPod.
My Palm Pilot.
All my books.
My sewing machine.
My cool little refillable leather-covered journal.
My little silver and millefiori glass box that my daughter bought for me in Italy.
My lapiz and silver bead necklace I made to show off the tarantula charm my son and daughter-in-law bought for me in NYC while on their honeymoon.
A handful of gravel I picked up on Burnside's Bridge on the Antietam battlefield.
My super-neat-and-organized cross-stitch case!
My less-than-organized bead box--but oh, the treasures within!
My "mink" blanket my niece bought for me in Japan.
My very realistic 18" tarantula hand puppet--scares the hell out of the kids on Halloween!
And my endlessly growing handbag collection.

I suffer buyer's remorse too. But I'm getting better at not buying things I don't need and telling myself I'd rather save up money than piddle it away on things I won't care about in the future when I'll wish I had the money.
However, I just went to NYC and allowed myself to spend money on things I'd never buy otherwise. I dropped $65 on a gorgeous, sky blue bead necklace that I'd completely pass up if not on vacation. Vacation is a special kind of situation. I never remember the money I spend on a trip, just the experiences I had.

Harold & Maude is absolutely one of my very favorite films. It first came out when I was in 8th or 9th grade, and when I first saw it in a college film festival I was thrown back into the fashions of my early teenage years. I even had a leather & bead necklace just like one around the neck of one of Harold's potential dates. It doesn't hurt that the movie is so wonderfully twisted and funny, either.
Young Frankenstein.
Monty Python & the Holy Grail.
