Post Subject: Church of Craft in Portland, OR - September Meeting!
The September Church of Craft meeting will be Sunday the 17th. Usual time of 11:30 - 2:30, and usual place: Rimsky-Korsacoffee House, 707 SE 12th (at Alder). If you're forwarding this to someone who's never been before, it's the big, old. red house at the corner of SE 12th and Alder. There is no sign out front.
This month, we're having a class in Artist Trading Cards, and an Artist Trading Card swap.
If you're not familiar with ATC's, check out this link:
http://www.cedarseed.com/air/atc.html
http://www.artist-trading-cards.ch/index.html (this one has a great gallery of ATC's people have made.)
ATC's are great fun to make -- whether you consider yourself an artist or not. Each time we've had an ATC class in the past, people who'd never tried them before got very addicted! Making ATC's is like free creative playtime, and the results are always surprising.
Please email sisterdg@churchofcraft.org for a supply list if you'd like to participate.
Church of Craft is a nondenominational group of people who love to make stuff. More info at www.churchofcraft.org.

There have been a couple of swaps mentioned here, and at least one has completed. Hmm, or am I confusing the two boards? Right now, there is a post card swap going on, both here and at supernaturale.

Lucolia,
That sound great to do a late swap/ swap rejects!
I don't want to take away her project though, so
Mrs. Card Swap,
We would like to still be involved in the great card swap, if you wouldn't mind us sharing in your idea.
Or, possibly we could wait if you plan on organizing this again real soon!!

Hello to Everyone who is participating in the recipe card swap, please note that I really need your cards. I have received two sets and I know a third is on the way. We all forget; but please let me know if you sent them out already.

Hello Ladies,
Just wanted to let you know how the recipe card swap is going. Unfortunately, two people backed out and I have tried incessitently to contact them; but they haven't responded...ugh!!
Due to their incoherent status, I had to wait a little while longer to see if they would send anything-which of course they didn't.
I hate when people sign up for things and then don't follow-through.
So, now to the good part. I have received everyone's cards who has kindly sent them in and am distributing them. You should have them by week's end.
I know this has taken WAY TOO LONG and I'm sorry for that. I know you will LOVE the recipes you receive.
