Post Subject: Craft Mafia-esque in New Jersey?
Ok so I am interested in getting some great crafters together for a South Jersey Craft Mafiaesque type group. I am looking for some friendly and talented people who want to get together from time to time to discuss craft news and ideas, split fees for advertising in major magazines, and split tabling and travel expenses to some of the bigger craft shows. I have been running my crafting business (http://in-hope.com) for over 5 years now and I am very interested in networking with other people who are serious about their work and the success of their small business. I live in Blackwood, exit 56a on route 55 and I am really good about hosting events.

Post Subject: My new web portal
I'm in the process of building a whole new portal for my website. I'm going 'updated' and joining the rest of the world in PHP. I love what a body can do with this new tech language.
The new site is set to launch in about 2 weeks. In the meantime, I'm asking others to come help populate the site.
I've tied together several subjects, including crafts and crafting business.
You can submit your own articles, add your own website links, keep a journal, post in the new forums- all in all, make your presence known.
Come visit, join in, advertise yourself and help to populate this new portal.

Post Subject: Just an update
It's finally up and running and I think, all the bugs worked out. Come by and sign up and start building.
You can use the gallery to build your own albums, submit articles containing links back to yourself, submit links to your own website, and pretty much present yourself and your product.
All legitimate crafting business is most welcome, as well as the Christian writer.
We're in it for the fellowship and networking, so help us grow.

Post Subject: Crafty Business Names!
I'm starting a crafting business, but I have no idea what to call it! I want something creative and cool (like I love the name knit wit). If anyone can give suggestions that would be great! Here's a couple things about me that could help in forming a name:
I live in Colorado
I do all sorts of crafts (so the name can't have like jewlery or knitting in it)
I love the color teal
Anything in French would be cool
Thanks so much!

I love my dad. Him and I got so much closer after my parents divorced.
He is very funny in a shy kinda way. He always sends hilarious emails too. He is very supportive of my crafting business and believes in me.

Post Subject: tattoos and crafting
well I was a tattoo artist myself! I had to leave business due to a heavy contracture; I had hard pain and my doctor said I was going to lose movility on my arm if I kept doing it! It was so sad to leave something I really loved and that I had learnt from a very close friend who just parted from this world a year ago...I felt like I was betrying my late friend. I went through a lot of stress and anger...
That's how I found myself on the crafting business - I had been making jewelry and dolls for friends and family and my husband thought I should give it a try and it worked! My pain disappeared and I'm doing something I never thought I would love so much. Sometimes, the end of the world is just the beggining of a new one...we even got the local tv coming to make a show on my studio after them seeing my pics on flickr!
I only have three tattoos, one of them don by myself to myself! It's a golden fish with a lotus, right arm. The other ones, made by my late friend, are a tibet skull (Right biceps) and two orchids that surround a K letter (I always write karo, not carolina)on my right hand. I made five tattoos to my husband (demon, hell gatekeeper, rara avis letters on the enck, japanese ghost skull, chinese letter for "Wolf", on arms and legs. maybe after I finish my acupunture therapy -it's going to take a year - I will be doing some tattoos again, but who knows...

Post Subject: Hi - New here
Just thought I'd send out a little introduction.
I'm a WAHM to a 3yo and a 5yo - I started crafting years ago when I was in college. My dh and I made all kinds of things and sold them at the local and college craft fairs. My husband's talent is in art, photography, and clay figurines, while mine is candies and chocolates. Never a main source of income, it certainly helped the Christmas Fund.
Then life went on, I became a teacher, and I was no longer crafting to sell. Only close friends and family received our work. A friend who knew my past asked me to help her get started selling at craft fairs. Well, one thing led to another, and pretty soon I had created a website to help her. That was almost 4 years ago... Now my website is my main focus, and I am on the promotion end of the crafting business.
Either way, I love to meet new crafters. The talents that are out there are just amazing. I look forward to working with you all.

hello.
I sew one of a kind totebags and much more. I''m currently working on my first set of sellable merchandise for my etsy store \"happycamper\".

This past year I really caught the crafting business bug and I''ve probably been to all of your blogs and webstore''s at some point but I''ve been really internet shy about starting my own endeavor. I started my own blog but I have a habit of deleting all of my posts on a regular basis because of my webaphobia.

I live between Columbus, Dayton and Lima. In a vortex of cornfields, churches & sports enthusiasts- so not much going on here on the surface, but I''m sure there are fantastic crafts being made, quietly. So, i find refuge in the internet. Ah...thanks everyone for keeping my eyes entertained w/ all your work. I really want to start something real here in my town. A weekly craft get-together possibly but I fear my husband and I are the only creative types w/in a 20 mi. radius! My little town has became Wal-martized with open arms, it''s very sad.
I created a Flickr group* (of which I''m the lone member) in the attempt to attract other local crafters but so far, nada. So much for that.

So, thanks for reading :I
