Post Subject: "Making it" through crafting?
I noticed that many of you have websites where you sell crafted goods or crafting supplies. Do all of you make a living doing this, or do most of you have other jobs or a significant other that pays the rent?
Also, do you have any suggestions for someone (like myself) who would like to set up a similar website? Any books I should read or sites I should visit?

Post Subject: handmade postcards
I started making my own postcards during the Valentine's day swap.. my first attempts werent as good as I would have hoped < sorry ladies who got my first ones :( > but it was a lot of fun and I *think* I have gotten better.
Now I am doing swapping on Postcardx.net due to someone posting it in another thread... it is great fun I just started this weekend and made 5 already.
My question is...does anyone know any websites pertaining to this where I can get some fresh inspiration?? I have lots of paper crafting supplies I picked up here and there and I love the nice boundary of 4'' by 6'' to keep me timely :)
Anything and everything pertaining to this would be welcome, I am so happy I think I really found *MY* crafting outlet!!

5. Up to 500 characters to describe your site.
What I need:

The site is: Crafty Tips Arts & Crafts Directory
List your site early for the best placement in the category of subcategory of your choice.

The cubey IKEA shelving unit is called EXPEDIT. I have one in my studio for my art/crafting supplies and one in our living room for our records and other goodies. Be sure to get EXPEDIT rather than the other cubey one from IKEA (BENNO?) because the EXPEDIT's shelves are reinforced to hold more weight, which is essential if you're going to be storing lots of vinyl.
What kind of records do you collect? Our collection is mostly jazz/bossa nova/lounge/exotica, but we have a little of everything!

Post Subject: just a thought
Hi-
I'm new here so take any suggestions with a grain of salt. First of all, I really like your site. It was easy to navigate and full of inspiration.
I would like to see some craft ideas for bigger projects- what I mean is something I can remodel my home on a budget with. Coordinating placemats and tablecloth, rug hooking, throw pillows... maybe a cute way to organize all my crafting supplies! Also, I have a zillion patches that I picked up when traveling and draw a complete blank on what to do with them.

my husband and i live in a two bedroom apartment, it is just the two of us, a cat, and a hampster. so we transformed the second bedroom into our crafting/art room. My husband bought me a large used desk which is filled with crafting supplies. it is facing one wall and the other half of the room is his. we have a huge closet that holds my sewing machine (along with camping gear) Its funny we were at a friends house the other day and the husband was talking about his "man" basement. Then my husband said that he wished he had a space of his own, i told him he did, in the second bedroom which was half his, he then looked at me and said its YOUR CRAFT ROOM, ALL I HAVE IN IT IS A ROCK! (he has been busy and unable to do any sculpting lately) lol i guess it is my room then

My Dad is a hard headed, Rebublican, retired, non-denomintional minister and is very closed minded.
But he finaly has learned to show his love (now that I am 23 and have been missing my Mom for 10 years).
He forgets to call on birthdays and holidays because his diabetes has taken over his mind, but he never forgets to tell me my Mom loved me.And he's neat because he knew all the family pictures and my Moms crafting supplies would be important to me and so he saved them and gave them to me(As apposed to one of the other kids who wouldn't really have appriciated the gesture as much)He also asks me how my business is going whenever his mind is with him.
