Well, don't know if this is my "favorite" technically, since it's the only thing I finished! But my 9-yr-old "baby" treasures the crochet blanket I made for her. Didn't really use it until she was a bit older, but now she understands it's special. So maybe stuff they can keep with them for a long time, actually touch etc., are most meaningful?
I'm pg too and thinking of baby crafts...due in November...I saw these crochet pieces in Wired that are part of an exhibit on mathematical models of space that I think I'll adapt to be fun, mouthable baby toys. They are just crochet rounds with lots of increases, so they ruffle out like huge cabbagey things. Whenever I crochet in a round, it ends up all wavey anyway, so I figure it can't lose!
