Well let me just say that my corned beef was delicious! I was surprised at how much it seemed to shrink, but it tasted great!
(I'm now insprired by my success to find more of these easy crock pot recipes......like pot roast.)
Mashed potatoes, and steamed cabbage and a pint of the black stuff rounded off the meal. The funny thing was when my daugther said, "We're supposed to be eating Irish food!" And we were like, "Uh - this IS Irish food, darling!" How cute........

When I was younger my parents were always busy but we couldn't LIVE off of tv dinners and stuff so my mom would usually make stuff that we could eat like half of the week. I think lasagna is the best thing that ever happened to the world because you could prepare it in advance, stick it in the oven and eat it forever. All you do is cook up some noodles, brown up some beef, get some assorted cheeses, spaghetti sauce, layer, stick in the oven until the cheese melts and voila. They even make lasagna noodles that you don't have to cook prior to layering. They just soften while you bake it. Soups are nice, and crock pot recipes are AWESOME. Just leave it to cook all day and when you get home, sit down to a delicious dinner. There are a bagillion recipes online for crock pots.

There's a great thread on crock pot recipes here. Some really awesome recipes have been posted. I got a crock pot this christmas too, and am in love with it. There are quite a few veggie dishes you can make with it.
The Forman Grill - I have one, but we don't use it that often. It's good for small things like fish steaks, but not good for cooking hot dogs. Chicken breasts work well with it.
As for the fry daddy.... you could make potato chips, french fries, egg rolls, wontons, sky's the limit.

The Glitter thread was deleted -- no one posted to it for a week. Here's what I had saved as a text file:
knittykat’s spicy burritos
Turkey tenderloins with a can of chipolte chiles in adobo. Shred, wrap with cheese and sour cream in a tortilla. Fiery!
eloquent's BBQ chicken from Southern Living magazine
Slice one onion and one lemon and layer in crockpot. Place 4-6 lb chicken on top. Combine 16 oz. of thick BBQ sauce and 1/2 can cola and pour over chicken. Cook on low 8 hours or high 4-6.
I only eat chicken a couple times a month. Anyone have vegan or vegetarian Crock-Pot recipes?
