Post Subject: Where to sell designer dress in NYC?
Hey Ladies,
I was wondering if anyone could suggest where I could sell a Diane VonFurstenberg dress? Preferable a shop that might buy it outright, but maybe a consignment store? It is from summer/fall 2003, 100% silk, never worn, still with the DvF tag and the price tag ($310) from Bloomies. Unfortunately after 6mo Bloomingdales needs a receipt and I don't have that (besides I think it may have been bought on sale anyways). I'm not expecting much, but I don't think that Beacon's Closet would be the right place to take it (it's a little too spring-cocktails-at-the-country-club and it's a fushia floral pattern)
Thanks!
Bree
ps If anyone is needing a fushia dress for spring cocktails at the country club it is size 12, an awesome cut, deep V in front and back, gathered near the bust, sheer silk dress with coordinating slip underneath. I love the dress, I just can't wear the colour. I'll give you a deal!

personally, i have an aversion for dirt cake and all other pudding-based confections in a pot-luck situation. they just end up looking like unappetizing troughs of muck.
have you thought of making a nice layer cake and topping it with pansies? they are edible and look lovely, even if you don't put an egg white and sugar glaze on them. if you really wanted to go wild, you could shake some coconut with green food coloring to make grass. if you can't come across any pansies, perhaps you could decoratively arrange berries in a floral pattern.
don't mean to offend re: the dirt cake... it's just my two cents.
