Post Subject: to block or not to block (knitting)
I just finished making a scarf out of fun fur yarn. It turned out really well and was a fun, quick project.
However, I now have a dilemna. Do I bother blocking it? I understand the importance of blocking a sweater but do I need to block a scarf that's really just a long rectangle? Will it really lose it's shape?

My husband loves to grill and has come up with two dry rubs and a BBQ sauce that are killer. Everyone loves them and he will not share the recipe. We are purchasing 8 oz spice shakers and making gift bags. Each will contain two shakers or dry rub and a bottle of the sauce. I will make recipe cards with our favorite ways to use these. For my son's teacher and babysitter I am embellishing gloves. I get the "magic stretch" gloves at Target and then knit on a cuff with Fake Fur yarn. The gloves are cream and the fur on each one matches their winter jacket. They take about an hour to make and I can work on them during basketball practice. I am planning to make a pair of these a week (one for each bball practice) to donate to the local shelter's clothing drive. One non-craft gift idea that I found is a gift card to download music. Saw it at the customer service desk at Circuit City. This is a great one for my nieces who live on their computers.
