Post Subject: Have yarn, want purse
Anyone have a good simple party purse pattern for either crochet or knitting? I've got 50g (~140 yards) of a lovely shiny and matte yarn that works with size 8 knitting needles or about a G hook or so, but I don't have a pattern...

Completely off topic but, Anonymous Jade, did you ever find a clutch purse pattern- I'm not looking for a slouchy one, but one with structure and maybe a zipper or 'coin purse' closure?

I can't seem to find a good purse pattern..maybe it's my criteria: I'm looking for a zippered purse or has way to keep it closed, maybe a flap of some kind, is on the medium/smallish side but is still roomy enough to hold all my junk and is fairly easy to make. I would like to attempt a "hobo" bag if all else fails. (Am I being unrealistic?) Hopefully I can find what I need!!

Also, if you make cool cufflinks, people may buy them just because they are cool. I know I've bought vintage cufflinks without a shirt to wear them with because they looked cool.
Is there a way you can modify a simple purse pattern so it would close with a pair of cufflinks?

i got mine in the mail today too. i also got the mr. brown color. i may buy another ball from a place around here that sells it and make the belted purse pattern that came with it.

I just got mine today. I love the color and the little purse pattern that came with it. I was surprised to see it addressed from Mary Maxim since it was ordered from the Bernat site but I don't guess it matters since it was free!! hehehe
