hi there,
there are lots of crafty girls in brooklyn! (including me) watch the boards here, there are gatherings organized now and then. I know that lots of NYers attend the Church of Craft, might be a good place to start. I'm sure that a bunch of us will be at Jean's book party at the end of the month, too.
Did you just move to NYC? If so, welcome!

Hi,
thanks for replying, I had came to Ny for school and have been here since. I'm hoping to get involved in more. It seems as many of my friends have left the city after school...or since then. I'm hoping to meet more people with similiar interest. |

welcome, nydoll...
I'm in the Park Slope area too (very south slope). I would be up for having a regular neighborhood craft-on; we used to have one going for a while. |

my apt on Union Street (bet 5th & 6th)
now, my place is not huge, but I think it will be okay.
how's that for a start? |

Yay! Thanks for stepping up, the 26th sounds rad. Email me with your address at kkofibru@yahoo.com and I will be there. Excited to meet other crafty peeps.
ps - is anyone here doing the ladyfest craft fair on the 28th? i'm doing the fashion show but i want people's feedback on whether they think the fair will be worth it. |

hey there,
I started another thread for the craft night, but yes! I'm doing the LadyFest craft fair. I think it will be worth it for me to do the fair... I figure, it's only three hours, so it's not like I have to go somewhere far away for the whole day or anything. Also, I've never done a craft fair before and this seems a good intro. Plus, for a good cause. |

| They're on Gold St. just off of Flatbush across from Metrotech. I think they usually start around 7ish. Poke around on http://www.churchofcraft.org. The exact address is definitely on the page with the class information. |
