I'm not a big horror fan (I'm a wimp), but I saw this movie and LOVED it!! So funny. It takes place in London and really honors the old school zombie stylings of George Romero. If you get a chance, go check it out.
I also saw The Motocycle Diairies - also very good!!
Just thought I would share. Has anyone else seen these? _________________ ***

It is based on the journal of Che Guevara when he was 23 and took a long journey with his cousin through South America.
What he saw on the trip totally changed his life. It's funny, sad, moving, all of that. It stars Gael Garcia Bernal (Y Tu Mama Tambien and Amores Perros). _________________ ***

| Apparently, this is those guys from Spaced, a comedy show which was a spoof of sorts. My husband told me one of the cable networks was going to start showing it this month - either BBC America or Trio, I think. |

Spaced is the best thing ever (apart from maybe Black Books) It's been nice to see people giving positive reviews to Shaun of the Dead that aren't from over here because I thought maybe things like Spaced, Black Books and Shaun of the Dead wouldn't travel too well- but they are my absolute favourite tv shows. I guess being 31 and having spent too much time in the 90s on the dole reading comics and getting drunk kinda means they resonate with me...

| I laughed so hard my throat hurt. It was the best movie I have seen in a very long time. I can't wait to get it on DVD. It is now my favorite movie of 2004. |

I saw it and loved it!
There were so many laugh out loud moments and everyone in the theater was laughing. I loved the first scene were everyone is a zombie in the street and shaun just wanders into the convenience store and comes back and doesn't even notice :)

| Just saw Shaun of the Dead for the second time last night (soooo good, of course!) and maybe it's my obsession with the tv show "The Office" surfacing, but did I see Martin Freeman (Tim from "The Office") in the one scene where they run into the doppleganger group of humans? I think I love him. |

I really really want to see this movie. I was outvoted by friends last weekend and ended up seeing "Vanity Fair", which by the way was not worth the $9.50 it cost! In the end, my friends were saying, "I bet Shaun of the Dead was better." After reading this thread, I can't wait to see it! Hopefully this weekend :) Thank you for the recommendation. Oh, and I love "The Office" and I think I love Tim, too. _________________ Serving freshly-made bath products daily!

Spaced is the series produced by (I think) and starring Simon Pegg, the main guy in the movie. It's a comedy, but in typical British style, is far from laugh-track, slapstick shtick. It's wierd, a bit wacky, and really clever. |
