i'm going to be coming to l.a. the 18 adn 19 of october and thought i'd come a coupel days earlier. is anything fun going on then? anyone want to meet for coffee? i'd be glad to!

What a great weekend to come to L.A.! It is the Fall Art Walk at the Brewery lofts.

The Brewery was, well, a brewery and is now several buildings of lofts housing artists. Here is a little blurb about it, including directions. Twice a year the lofts are open for all of the artists to exhibit their work. I have seen incredible, strange, beautiful and inspiring paintings, fashion, performance art, robotics, etc. etc. there! The event occurs on both Saturday, October 16 and Sunday, October 17. I will be there, and I would love to see you there too!

I'd love to meet up. What part of the city are you going to be in?

I'm an eastsider, and particularly biased towards the eastside and all the awesome murals, galleries, and good food so I'm always trying to get people to hang out over here!

The Brewery walk looks like fun. I think I'll check that out.

A chance to meet Crafty Chica?!? You bet! (Can you tell I've been reading your columns online for a while now?) And of course it would be great to meet other LA getcraftyers, too!

I'm pretty centrally located in LA and can recommend several places to meet for coffee over a fairly wide area. However, let me offer an alternative: how about y'all come over to my place and I'll make brunch?
