| I found it through old glitter. I have to say I love this board. All the cool chicas, and none of the trollish snark. |

| I used to lurk on glitter occassionally, and found this right when it started. So many neat ladies and ideas! |

one of my friends told me the new getcrafty was up and running, so i hauled ass over here. i met so many great people because of the old-skool getcrafty, so i figured it would be nice to come back. _________________ miz shawneemonkey

| I lurked on old GetCrafty (and I had a different name anyway) and I found the new site from New Glitter. |

| I was just searching the internet. Web posting is brand spanking new to me. I didn't hear about the book until I started posting here and it took me a while to figure out what everyone meant by "glitter". I just serendipitously wandered in I guess. |

I was on Old Glitter for a long time, then ended up only at New Glitter after the switch. I finally made my way over here the other day, even though I knew about it for awhile. _________________ Plain Mabel :: Awful Cufflinks |

| Another one from the old Glitter, with a new username. I just kept checking in (there were threads about this on Supernaturale and Craftster, I believe) until getcrafty was reborn. |

I was on old Glitter too but I had dropped off in the last year or so before the change. Then I got the email about the change and went to check out Supernaturale and saw all the chatter about the split. Drama always equals curiosity for me. So I came back to getcrafty to see what was going on. With getcrafty's rebirth, I have felt good about posting again in this little piece of web space. :P _________________ Read! http://sheis.youngandwithit.com

Me too, and I agree.
I found the old Get Crafty site a few days before it closed, then became Supernaturale. Supernaturale didn't / doesn't really appeal to me, for a number of reasons, and I was v. excited when the new Get Crafty was launched.
I bought Get Crafty the book because I love the website so much (and it didn't disappoint).
As an aside, I like the "craft your life" philosophy of Get Crafty and the political atmosphere (feminism, the environment, new domesticity, all that stuff) that can be found here. |

i was a member of the old glitter, but didn't really check in that often. i mostly became a member to receive newsletters and the like, i didn't read the boards much. i heard about the split via e-mail but since i wasn't a very active member, i didn't really know what it meant and didn't bother signing up for the forums or newsletter again... until i came back to "getcrafty.com" to find directions on how to make bowls/flower pots out of records... and saw that everything changed! and i was in a position of having more time to participate in or read forum discussions. so here i am and i really like it. _________________ moderator queen |

| A friend that I sometimes get together to knit with often sends me links to crafty-related sites. This was one of em! |

| I found out through another website - perhaps supernaturale, or craftster? Or maybe through a blog of someone from the old getcrafty - I used to post there, and picked up a lot of web and blog links I still use from there. |
