Here's what http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com had to say about the season finale of "Gilmore Girls."
***SPOILER ALERT***
Dude, did you miss it? Dude! You missed everything! Seriously! You totally shouldn't have missed it. Man. Your loss, dude. Dude. Seriously. Dude. Kirk was naked. Lorelai told Jason off. Richard and Emily announced their separation and are mad at Lorelai. The Dragonfly opened without a hitch. Babette had lines. Luke and Lorelai kissed and kissed and kissed and DUDE. DUDE! Rory and CuteDean had sex. The cherry has been popped. And CuteDean's married! Dude. Seriously. You missed out, not buying TiVo. Good thing I recap this damn show in meticulous detail, huh? By the way, I've figured out what they were going for with CuteDean's head-hair. Late season Johnny Depp on 21 Jump Street had that same messy hair, three-day growth, I-could-go-at-any-time/ I-don't-even-want-to-BE-on-this-show expression on his face. And look where Johnny is now. He doesn't have to play second fiddle to no Olsen twin. Anyway, dude. Seriously. Awesome episode.
/SPOILER ALERT
TWOP'll have full recap in a few days, but in the meantime, what did you think? I'm glad that Rory's not so Stepford for once, but at the same time I'm annoyed by her self-centeredness. And how hypocritical is Lorelei being re: Digger suing her dad? She didn't speak to her parents for almost 16 years!
My fear is that next season's opener will be set 3 months later and we'll miss the early days (if not all!) of Luke & Lorelei's relationship, just like we missed last summer's European backpacking.
PS. Whatever happened to Paris's craft corner? |

| i'd love to hear a recap if anyone cares to do one! i watch GG about 2/3 of the time, but my companion had a severe allergic reaction a couple days ago (needed shots and practically the hospital) so i went to his house to keep him company instead of watching. oh, the sacrifices we make for love! |

I LOVED it! I was left wanting more! I cannot wait until the fall.
Luke and Lorelai... finally.
Rory crying at the end because it finally hit her what had happened.

You should read the TWoP recap when it's posted. It will be at http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/show.cgi?s how=25. Television Without Pity (nee Mighty Big TV) offers weekly recaps of certain TV shows --primarily those that inspire a love/hate relationship among viewers. Their tagline is "Spare the snark, spoil the networks."
To quote Media Life Magazine, it is unique among fan sites in that it manages to be both obsessively devoted to and unfailingly sarcastic towards the shows it follows. It’s written for the fan who has to know what Buffy wore to the Spring Fling dance but also likes to laugh at David Boreanaz’s pathetic acting.
The format is pretty straightforward.
Each of the 40 or so series covered, which include dramas, sci-fi and reality shows, has its own page and its own writer, a TV glutton who watches each episode several times.
For the mildly addicted, there’s a “recaplet” of each episode posted a day or two after it airs. For the hard-core fans, there are nine- and 10-page recaps that often recount dialogue verbatim.
But bringing you up to speed on what you missed is the lesser part of TWoP’s appeal. Thanks to the writers’ shamelessly opinionated and massively snarky commentary, the only thing better than reading a TWoP recap of a show you love is reading one of a show you hate. |

i was so impressed by it! superb! the kiss between rory and dean actaully had some spark (hello - she seemed so sexless until that moment to me). her snotty self defensive mode was perfect. soooo good. emmy time....i hear ya callin.
and as much as i did/didn't want luke and lorelei to happen (er....moonlighting, cheers, etc) the kiss was perfect and so them. when luke's voice cracked....so sweet. |
