Pardon the goofy topic...I just saw a few reruns of SVU, lol.

For me...hands down SVU!!! I still occasionally catch the original show and have only seen Criminal Intent a few times. I feel like I am betraying SVU if I get caught up in the others! And I just heard that there will be a 4th L&O show debuting this fall! What's a girl to do?!?!

As much as I like to look at Vincent D'Onofrio, I have to vote for the original. McCoy is the bomb. Too bad Sam Waterston's the only worthy actor in the DA's office anymore. And now Jerry Orbach's leaving. Doh!

I think that I am going to have to say SVU is my favorite. I loved plain old Law & Order before any of the off shoots. But now I think that the order of favorites would go: SVU, Criminal Intent, and then the original flavor.

I don't know why, but in the past year I grew somewhat bored with the original.

There was a previous off shoot, L&O: Crime & Punishment, which was reality based and I never really got into, although I watched a few.

And now Jerry Orbach (Lennie Briscoe) left the original L&O, but will be appearing on the new one - Trial By Jury.

My, it's quite a twisted L&O web that they weave.

Not to mention that in the past year, I became hooked and watched all of the episodes of Oz and I love how so many of the same actors appeared on both shows and in some instances, played completely opposite characters from their L&O characters.

Law & Order: Trial By Jury was supposed to debut in September, but now it's a midseason replacement. Dennis Farina will star (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001199) and Jerry Orbach will be a regular. Each episode will open with an arraignment and then follow the legal process, including closed-door meetings with prosecutors, defense lawyers, judges, and jurors. Cast members from the other Law & Order shows will testify in certain cases.

PS. Check out the L&O blog: http://fakeamerica.com/lo
PPS. Any guesses who they'll get to replace Briscoe on L&O: Old School?

I LOVE LAW AND ORDER RERUNS! Seriously, they make up the bulk of my television diet.

I voted for SVU because, simply put, Det. Olivia Benson bootay. I like old school L&O, but umostly only the old ones with Jerry Orbach and Chris Noth.

I absolutely love Vincent D'Onofrio and so I'm going to have to go with Criminal Intent. He's just so stinkin' smart!

I really like them all, although sometimes SVU gets a little creepy for me...

Yesterday I saw an episode on TNT that I had never seen before-- I had no idea that Lenny's daughter was a witness in a mob case and got murdered! It's not fair for Law & Order to make me cry!

I do enjoy SVU very much, but I had to go with the original because of Lenny. What's better than a wise-cracking jaded NYPD detective?

Also, I think that I have to pick Law and Order just by sheer volume of shows that I've seen. My roommates are serious addicts to TNT's prime time rerun blocks, while it is a rare occasion for me to catch an SVU rerun.

The Original for me, since Jerry Orbach is my favorite! From Broadway to Lumiere (in Disney's Beauty and the Beast) to fiesty bad punned cop! He is the best...

My boyfriend hates law and order, and I watch the re-runs al the time on TNT...

I like SVU and the original, but I can't watch Criminal Intent. I feel like Vincent D'Onofrio is some ham in a high school play taking himself way too seriously. Plus, it doesn't have as much of an ensemble feel, which is part of why I like SVU and original so much.

I watch the reruns all the time. The SVUs with the former child actors are usually my favorite. Zach Morris doing gay porn! I'm hooked.

What, you don't like that head cocked to one side, while bending over, pretending not to know the answer to his own question, while really knowing the answer to his question? :P

I actually really like Vincent D'Onofrio but the head cocking thing can be annoying.

I recently got hooked on SVU. The Ice-T and Richard Belzer combination is hard to beat for me.

I think I like SVU the best too, with the original a very close second. I love Lenny and am so glad he's not going away entirely. But SVU's stories are just a little more interesting. And Elliott (a.k.a. "Fridgehumper" in this house) is cute—if only he weren't so uptight.

Vincent is fun to look at, so delightfully geeky and beefy all at once—but every story on CI is the same. The criminal was driven to a life of crime in childhood by an abusive...which will it be this week? Let's spin the wheel! Mother? Father? Uncle? Grandma? Babysitter? It's just gimmicky.

Re the story line with Lenny's daughter: Wasn't that some terrific casting? She looked just like him! I can't decide if it's a good or bad thing that in subsequent episodes, there wasn't much mention at all of how he dealt with her death.

I am glad I am not the only one that thinks he is attractive in a off beat way...
