Not, you know, throwing up sick. I'm recovering from a cold, which turned into laryngitis, I have slight chest congestion, feeling pretty good in general. It feels like it's on its way out. What say ye? Wait until it's completely gone, or work the final bad toxins out of my system with a good, sweaty workout? _________________

I dunno, at the end of an illness, if you're not feeling like it will kill you, and you don't overdo it-- I think it would make you feel better, don't you?
I'm feeling like I'm at the beginning of a cold or allergies or something, and I exercised yesterday- it was the best I'd felt all day, if only because I was distracted from my sniffling. |

Mind you I'm still trying to get back into exercising on a regular basis after my month long cold! But I'd say maybe do some really gentle yoga or go for a short walk. I always try to get back into working out when I'm still getting over being sick and find how tired I am at the end of it. _________________ "People call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat or a prostitute."

Take a walk! Preferably in some indoor mall where it's air-conditioned, and you don't have to croak of heat or something.
Exercise helps the body when sick. It's just hard to exercise and do it. I've protested working out when sick, but I was feeling dreadful. If you're feeling fairly fine, go for it!
(Put your mind to it, go for it, get down and break a sweet. Rock and roll, you ain't seen nothing yet.) _________________ When you got a hundred voices singin',

Hee hee. "Break a sweet." So cute.
I say go for it, sublimestitcher! As long as you keep it low impact, I think it should even help. Hope you feel better!

Go for it. Just listen to your body--it'll definitely tell you when you should consider stopping. Whenever I'm sick, I stick with my routine, but steer towards more low-impact stuff.
Hope you're feeling better! :) |

I wouldn't run a marathon or anything, but something like yoga or a long walk or an easy bike ride would be good. Even moderate exercise can boost your circulation and help out your immune system, just make extra sure you stay hydrated. You mentioned a boyfriend...if you're no longer contagious, some lovin' can be a fun and immune system-boosting workout.
Of course, I wouldn't run a marathon anyway.
And you can reward your excercise effort by lining up candies and busting them into little peices while laughing like a maniac. |

| Exercise some, but DO NOT overexert yourself, or try and do your normal routine that you do when you're healthy. you could end up making yourself get sick all over again if you tax your body too hard. So just be aware of how you are feeling, and don't beat yourself up if you can't finish it. |
