I was just reading unsolved crime stories on the web and now I cant move. I used to do this to myself when I was a kid watching unsolved mysterys. Im totally creeped out right now, but its late so I should brush my teeth and hop into bed but the bathroom is where the killer is hiding, behind the shower curtain of course (ekk, I just felt my blood pressure spike just thinking about that)
Imagine someone you know pretty well killing you in some twisted way then using your toilet (#2) but not flushing (apparently this is a really common occurance of a killer leaving his mark) OK, lets not dwell on that... hhmm.. what is it about serial killers and deranged criminals that is so facinating?
I thought I would check out glitter and wait to grow the balls to brush my teeth and venture the 3 feet across the hall into my bedroom. Hopefully I wll dream about crock pots and marble magnets tonight. happy thought....
I forsee feeling rather foolish in the morning. |

No advice for you, but I do hope you had pleasant dreams.
My psycho ex broke into my house and, among other things, used the toilet. |

america's most wanted will do the same thing. only there you know what the person looks like and he looks like exactly like the pizza boy who just delivered your dinner. do you want to eat that possibly drug laced pizza while he's cutting your phone lines? you'd get your cell phone but it's outside in the car and now you're screwed.

| I have to have a clear shower curtain for that very reason. I'm serious. If it's an opaque shower curtain and it's closed I freak and cannot go in the bathroom. |

| i do that sometimes and i ride the paranoia wave. if i need to sleep with the lights on, or make my hubby pull the shower curtain back (that happened after seeing psycho) i do it. i also have loud dogs which you think would help (hey they will bark if anyone tries to come near me) but they bark at squirrels too so then i get all freaked out. sometimes i sing "can't touch this" by mc hammer in my head and it helps make the bad thoughts go away ("stop! hammer time!"). |

I used to make fun of one of my old next door neighbors for being that way. Especially after she heard Barbershop on my tv and came over convinced from all the yelling that I was being attacked. But then a week after that happened, she came home from class one night and discovered a guy spying on me through my living room window (I was washing my dishes) and masturbating! So I don't really think of that stuff as being paranoia anymore!
Which reminds me that I really do need to get the privacy film up on my windows (new place) ASAP. _________________ "People call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat or a prostitute."

ew, that's totally creepy.
THe first story reminds me of the time my ex boyfriend came over and told me about the haunted ebay painting. I lived in the attic of an old victorian home, my roommate was away and it was pouring rain, and did i mention that we had two stairs with a locked door that went god knows where? I dont' think i wanted to leave the couch, i was terrified. jerk

I am such a masochist - I love creeping myself over fictional or true crime. Delicious! When we rented The Exorcist I kept rewinding and playing the part where she goes down the stairs on her hands and yelping in terror/delight.
Sunbear, what's the haunted ebay painting? |

| Nah, it's just a butt-ugly painting. The little boy is too solemn and what the heck is he doing with that vacant eyed doll? The light from the camera across his face looks a little eerie, but you have to work to make the painting look haunted instead of just bizarre. |

| I just looked at the thumbnails, then got too creeped out and x-d out of that thing like mad. Creepy! I also have to have a clear shower curtain or I can't shower. This has caused fights with the Mister as he prefers an opaque curtain. He won so now I have an opaque curtain which I leave half open during the shower which gets water all over the floor, but really, in my opinion, that's his problem. he knew what he was getting into with the opaque shower curtain! oes he want psychos killing me! Of course it has to stay half open! |

| mishy, i have to leave the shower curtain open a little when i shower too. and water gets all over the floor and the side of the wall. oh well. my fiance wouldnt let me buy a clear one, either. at our old place, the shower had frosted doors and that was cool. i usually shampoo my hair with my eyes open, too. yes, im a scaredy cat. i get scared REALLY easily, and i WILL completely flip out on anyone who thinks is is amusing to scare me. like one time when i first met my fiance, he thought it would be funny to hide behind the bookshelf when it was dark in our apartment and jump out and scare me. i didnt find it funny, and i seriously freaked out on him. he probably thought i was crazy. |

I like opaque shower curtains becauses the mirror across from the shower, when I move I see my reflection move and that scares me. When I first moved into my apt I crawled up on the sink and disconnected the exhaust fan so it wouldnt cover any suspicious noises.
I was relating this story to my coworker and she told me about her night, thunderstorms all night, when she got home it was really late (due to traffic) and she was already wound up tight from traffic and the storm. She went to bed and was woken up at 6 am by someone POUNDING on her door. she lives alone so she creeps up to the door and calls out "who's there". the guy on the other side tells her that her house keys are in the doorknob. so now she is sooo frightened becuase all night her keys were on the outside and it 6am and shes wound up and cant sleep so she leaves early for work planning on doing an errand. She gets stuck in traffic for an extra HOUR because swat is closing in on a middle school where a kid has a bunch of guns (she doesnt know what is going on at the time). She gets stopped by a cop directing traffic and there are tons of cop cars, helicopters, swat etc. a big paddywagon pulls out in front of her and slowly they go down the road. she finally gets to work late entirely too stressed and we end up having one of the busiest days ever.
so after she told me about her last 12 hours I felt a little silly about my unsolved mysteries creep out. |
