when i first heard about the haunted painting, i had that scary night at home and told my coworker who loves scary stuff so she hunted it down on the internet and actually found it on ebay and then tried to make me tell her if the picture was a animated gif, so she printed out the source of the photo (I still hadn't seen it). She came in with a printout and i almost freaked out and she said "Don't worry it's not the picture"...what a wimp :)

I get creeped out really, really easily if I think about it, but lately I've been really good about just not thinking about it. The worst is if something falls off the wall in my bedroom in the middle of the night! That's happened a couple of times and I was just a quivering, sweaty mass of fear. _________________

| Oh yeah, I've left my keys in the front door before. Now I'm all compulsive about making sure I locked the door before going to sleep. Nothing creepier than waking up, looking for the keys, and finding out your house has been wide open all night. |

Ya.. I get creeped out playing video games alone at night. I have to have all the lights on, and I have a hard time falling asleep afterwards. Same with reading scary stories.
Once, I convinced myself that a man was outside of my window, with a glass cutter, and was slowly cutting an opening in it, to come in and rob our house. It was just a branch scraping up against my window, but I was so scared that my heart was racing and I couldn't breathe. Not fun.
I try not to leave my keys in the door ever. I've heard way too many stories about people doing that and getting raped later that night because they were an easy target.
Also, make sure you give only your car key to the mechanics. Take all other keys off the chain. There have been cases of people making copies of a customers house key, and going later to rape a woman they saw. Better to be careful than have something bad happen.
I don't really get how that painting is supposedly haunted. It's just a really creepy ugly painting to me...I hate porcalien dolls and anything to do with them like a painting of one. Ugh. |

Talk about your keys in your door....
My family moved into an apartment almost a month ago, and my husband just noticed on Friday that the lock on the back door was backwards. The turn-knob was on the outside and the keyhole was on the inside! I thought it was just a double-keyed lock! How much of a dumbass do you have to be to put a lock on backwards? (Although I'm wondering if it wasn't intentional.) Add to it that my husbands car was broken into and his stereo stolen last Monday, and I am pretty freaked out. _________________ "...like the foam loves the wave." - Mario Vargas Llosa |

| I had a weird car break-in last week. I was taking some people home and I think someone forgot to lock the door because when I went to get into my car a few days later, the drivers' seat was way farther back than I have it and the glove box had been opened. But the thief left my papers, maps, tapes and tape deck (I guess there isn't any resale value there) and tire gauge. And then I checked my trunk and the only thing missing was a bag of clothes to go to Goodwill, so I guess i was saved the trip. It is strange because he didn't take my radio or anything, plus I have a really obnoxious alarm which I would think would discourage someone from getting in the car. I'm just creeped out because if he saw my insurance/registration he knows my name and my mom's address, which is in another state but still. Weird. |

| amygdala, one of my co-workers also had a really weird car break in. Someone had gotten into her car but instead of stealing any of the money she had siting out, her laptop, or her radio, all they did was drive her car up a few feet into the no parking spot and steal her parking spot. They were gone when she found that her car was moved, but it was so weird. |

re: lock on the inside of the door...creeeepy I'm picturing a flowers in the attic kind of scenario. And re: weird car breakins, my friend once had her car stolen from the kind of lot where you give them your keys, they think an attendant gave the keys to their friend.
Items stolen: Her spanish text book, a baby fine hair comb and 'for men only' hair spray for balding men (her dad)
Items left: A photo of themselves and an afro pick...i guess it was some kids on a joyride, but how bizzare

I also don't understand how that "Haunted Painting" is creepy. It's just an ugly painting made to look scary by putting a red light on it or something. Somebody please explain to me how it's so terrifying. I really don't understand it.
