The summer issue features a bunch of crafty ladies, cut + paste, and CraftyChica.com (me!) too. I just barely got my copy today. It came out so fun and filled up a whole page. There are so many fabulous artists and personalities in the issue, I feel so not worthy!
I love Venus - especially after reading the editor's letter on how she started it as a 10-page zine (Xerox copies, cutting ad pasting images together) out of her room, and up until this issue she still produced it out of her house. Can you imagine? THat's the ultimate DIY story if I ever heard one!

I read my copy this week--I loved the article on you & your fabulous crafts! :)
It's a great issue! Congratulations. We put our first Portland Super Crafty ad in the summer issues of venus & bust, very exciting!
PS I also saw an interview with you in this new book Wild with a Glue Gun, which was awesome. Good work!

Venus has always impressed me by being crafty and hip, something I think we all strive to be.

And to think that the next magazine I was going to buy was to be Bust. NOPE! I'm going to get Venus, even if it means stepping foot in the evil that is Books-a-Million.

Didn't I see on glitter that SublimeStitcher aka Jenny Hart was mentioned in this issue, too? The article was a about an artist who rughooks centerfolds after having the pix digitized.
