lately i've really been digging the cult and public enemy for their movement-inducing properties. i haven't listened to the cult in years and it's been triggering all sorts of college nostalgia. peace dog 4-evah! |

BARENAKED LADIES. Aw yeah.
My dork quotient is going to go sky high with this, but I like the song "Who Really Loves Ya" by Debbie Gibson.
Other things that float my tractor: Any of the Elvis remixes that Paul Okenfold made, Lords of Acid - "Pussy" because you can listen to it on your headphones and smile and lipsync all you want and no one will know what they are singing!
Also, Groove Armada, Fat Boy Slim, Lynrd Skynrd's new album has some hard driving beats, Rancid, Guano Apes, Dead or Alive, the more upbeat Cure songs work nicely, and some of Jack Johnsons songs are cool to work out to.
Maybe we should have a workout mix cd swap or something. Kinda like that 20 Things deal, only with cd's instead. Could get expensive though...

I'd throw in the Beastie Boys "Fight for Your Right," which goes on a lot of my running mixes.
I also run to a lot of really cheesy 80s/early 90s music - C&C Music Factory, Technotronic ("Pump Up the Jam"), Scorpions - the stuff I loved at 7th grade dances. Oooh, cheese! |

Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" really inspires me to lose my fat bottom!! I just put together a new iPod "bike ride" playlist and that song is #1 (didn't think about the "get on your bikes and ride!" lyrics until after it was already done!).
I also put some GNR, Cars, Tom Petty, and Hall & Oates in there. That is the kick I am on now at least....next month I will be back with more current music.
Oh, I like "Brim Full of Asha" by Cornershop as a warm-up.
And White Stripes does = great workout music, too! I agree! _________________ I want to do something great!

Even though i've never seen the film the 'Kill Bill' Album is amazing!
Quintin Tarantino always chooses really cool soundtracks to his films so i'd recommend those any day!
I normally work out to mix DJ CD's as there's more variety. I think the best is called 'Too Many DJ's...'. It kicks off with Where's Your Head At and gets better and better!

| I turn up the Ramones really loud while I run on the treadmill. I've also heard about this book called punk rock aerobics that sounds sort of interesting. |
