Let's see, craftiness. Vell dahlings, I mostly enjoy putting weird outfits together - does that count as "crafty?" My love affair with the vintage/thrift store is countered only by coffee, movies, scarves (wholly impractical), sweet potatoes, and my obsession with text of any kind - magazines, books, the internet. I'm a reading junkie but not always in a good way - I have a shameless stack of brain candy stuff like "Self" hiding underneath more edifying things like "The New Yorker" and "Utne."

my feeling is that putting together weird outfits, especially those from the thrift shop, is one of the craftiness things around. _________________ Jean Railla

Other loves are:
* My English souvenir husband George

* Travelling, travelling, and more travelling
* Reading
* Chai Tea Latte
* Bookshops
* Writing and mail art _________________ "For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day....." *Audrey Hepburn |

Hi Sanne.
Ah, someone near me..! I live in the Netherlands too. If you're ever in Amsterdam, give me a holler and let's hook up over coffee or something. I'll introduce you to other crafty girls (well, at least 3). |

Things I would like to do this fall/winter:
Learn how to do the hustle.. and all variations...
make several hats for myself
learn how to ski.. or at least try.
do well in all classes...with minimal stress..if possible
make a jack skellington pumpkin and toasty seeds
bolster my music collection
Get tickets to the Graham Norton show... |

Helloooooo! I followed glitter away & have been lurking around here for the past few months.
I'm Sarah. 22 years old.
I live with my husband in our house we bought in March in Cypress, a suburb of Houston, Texas. We're fixing the house up while we live in it & will get a puppy as soon as it's safe for one to roam around here!
I'm paper-obsessed. I love to read, I've dabbled in zine-making (& actually used to make them all the time when I was in elementary school without even knowing what it was... I sent them to relatives in other states & gave them to friends & family nearby), & I loooooove stationary & any crafts that involve working with paper.
As of late, my craft obsession has been making things out of felt... & planning things to sew as soon as I get my craft room all set up. |

Ooo, lets see how quick reply works.
Hello, for those who don't know, I'm ladyjane, in Chicago. I love tap dancing and squirrels.
Those who do know me remember me from the previous incarnation of the Glitter boards.
I also (I've been told) really kick butt at doing random google searches and finding links for people. I am, however, America's Least Crafty. :) _________________ "It's not the money. It's not the fame. It's the influence." - Clay Aiken |

Oh, jean, thank you. :) That's kind to say.
Squirrels, however, are very crafty. They build excellent nests out of found items (newspaper, dog hair, paper towels...), and they're very clever in general. *g* _________________ "It's not the money. It's not the fame. It's the influence." - Clay Aiken |

Hello everyone,
I am totally new to this board and so excited about finding it...I am 24 and currently live in San Diego, but grew up in NY. I went to college planning to go to law school but ended up studying photography and painting, I've always been creative. Since graduating I've struggled to be a "professional artist" and ended up going back to school to be a massage therapist. I'm thinking about starting my own business but my craftiness is pretty varied - I make jewelery, throw pottery, sew, paint, do collage, love interior design, and being inventive. its hard to narrow down which craft is my favorite/best skill and go with it. anyone else struggle with this? i'd like to incorporate creating a product and organic/holistic lifestyle. anyone else thinking about a business along these lines? anyone live in san diego? lets get in touch!! so glad to be here! 'Lo...
Name's Elizabeth, living in Brooklyn NY... I participated a bit back on the old boards, but it's been awhile (mostly due to lack of time). I'm 32, just moved in with my boyfriend (or, rather, he just moved in with me) and the subsequent domesticity has brought on a spate of craftiness so here I am. Been doing a lot of knitting, also some beading, and am always happy to branch out into something new. My fellah's just as crafty as me (he leans more towards the wood and the leather), so it's not like he tries to talk me out of it... heh.
I'm sure this new and improved site has been up for a while; in any case, I really love it! Great features! _________________ ---
